I would support reducing Welfare in some areas however I feel we should increase funding in social support services and improve security of our social workers.
I believe our tax code system needs to be reformed for efficiencies and simplicity. Alcohol excise and wholesale taxes should remain the same but sales taxes eliminated. Corporate taxes should be reduced to provide incentives to grow. Everyone regardsless of income should pay some income tax although it be small, then everyone would have a financial incentive to be involved in our democracy and vote.
We need to look for other revenue sources such as selling wine in food stores, and looking for efficiaencies in our tax code. Outsourcing many of our government services has proven to be more reliable, less costly, and creates more jobs.

Winning an election is largely dependent on how much money you can raise, unfortuately. I would support party or government financed town hall meetings or TV programs or other mass media venues to meet the candidates.

I do believe that vouchers should be given to students who attend private schools or parochial schools based on their scholastic achievement. I fell we should invest in students not buildings.

I would create new jobs by state funding tourism jobs and opportunities in my district with the same incentives given to recruit new industries into KY. I would look for new revenue sources such as allowing wine sles in groceries and effiencies in our tax code. I would support reforming our tax code to simplify, reduce corporate and small business taxes, and provide other incentives to small businesses to create more permanent jobs.
